Lumbar stenosis is a condition characterized by the narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower back, which can lead to pain, numbness, and functional limitations. As individuals seek effective treatments for relief, acupuncture has emerged as a potential therapeutic option.

Recent studies have examined the effectiveness of acupuncture in managing symptoms associated with lumbar stenosis. A systematic review by Kim (2013), which included six randomized controlled trials and six controlled studies, found that acupuncture was superior to control treatments in reducing pain intensity, enhancing functional improvements, and improving quality of life.
