Meniere's Disease is a disorder characterized by an imbalance in the fluid volume within the inner ear. Typically affecting only one ear, this condition can lead to symptoms such as tinnitus, dizziness, vertigo, a sensation of fullness in the ear, pain, and hearing loss. Patients often experience episodic attacks, with symptoms that vary in intensity and can last for several hours.

The following patterns are commonly recognized as underlying factors contributing to Meniere's Disease: Liver Qi Stagnation, Liver Wind, and Spleen Qi Deficiency.

A systematic review conducted by He in 2016 (SR of 12 RCTs) found that acupoint stimulation was significantly effective in controlling vertigo.
