Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) boasts a rich and extensive history of herbal treatments, with thousands of years of development and research that continue to benefit us today. Unlike some forms of herbalism and Western medicine, Chinese herbs are typically used in carefully crafted formulas, rather than singularly in large amounts. These formulas allow practitioners to enhance the positive effects of herbs while minimizing or eliminating potential side effects. Mastering these blends requires years of practice, with many formulas being passed down through generations or teacher-student lineages, making this tradition an invaluable gift from the past.

The true advantage of this herbal practice, similar to acupuncture, lies in its ability to customize formulas to match each patient's specific signs and symptoms. Instead of relying on standard treatments for particular conditions, practitioners can tailor the herbs to achieve more effective results with fewer side effects. At our clinic, we primarily use herbs in a premade plant based herbal extract which are very convenient to use. Our ready-made herbal powder are based on the ancient Shang Han Lun (伤寒论) text, which has guided practitioners for over two thousand years. Additionally, we offer customised formulas created by renowned Chinese physicians throughout history.

It is important to never attempt herbal treatments without proper training, as some herbs can be toxic if not prepared correctly, and others may cause side effects if used in inappropriate amounts or improperly blended.

CANCELLATIONS / NON-ATTENDANCE: If notified the day before the appointment, no charge. If cancelled on the day of the appointment, a $25 late cancellation charge. If non-attendance, full private fees apply irrelevant of ACC status.
